A thoughtful renovation to an existing house from the 1980's and the addition of a pool house located on a steep slope site in Beverly Hills, this project opens the living spaces towards and incredible view of Century city and Downtown Los Angeles.
The pool house is tucked into the hillside, revealing itself gradually as you move through the main house's rear yard. Its design minimizes the visual impact of required guardrails, preserving unobstructed views to the city beyond. Rather than feeling like a penthouse perched above the landscape, the pool house unfolds as part of a larger estate- a sequence of generous spaces that draw you through the site toward the view.
